Fender Flares for Jeep Grand Cherokee WK 2005. How to fit low cost Fender Flares on Jeep Grand Cherokee 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 and save yourself several hundred dollars in the process.
On my custom build Jeep Grand Cherokee 2005, the addition of wider tires and 1.5 inch Spidertrax wheel spacers means wheels sticking out and excess mud splatter. The only fix is Fender Flares or Wheel Arch Extensions. Fender Flares or Wheel Arch Extensions were and still are available for the Export WH version for the Grand Cherokee 2008 + SRT8. But these cost around $1000 to buy, plus the fitting. There is a cheaper option. See video here.
Fender Flares or Wheel Arch Extensions are available from Poland if you look on eBay. These cost around $100 to buy. Plus fitting. They work fine and look great. What follows in this video is my own Jeep’s experience. Comment on the video or message me for more details. The 25mm Fender Flares I have seem to be out of stock, but the 35mm ones seem to be available still and might do the trick for you. Mine have been on for 1 year so far in this video.
The problem with not having these flares is one big one. In most of Europe it is the law. Your central section of tire must not protrude outside the vehicle body line. So by installing these, we keep wheel legal and save on excess body mud splatter. Plus funnily enough they improve the looks of the Jeep if you have the wider wheels or tires set up.
