An SUV trimmed with fake wood like the Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ is the ultimate Americana statement of automotive style. If any other country did this wouldn’t be the same. Vehicle manufacturers have lost their mojo in recent decades, with mediocrity winning the race. Now we can only look forward to electric battery boxes on wheels. Can they ever regain their design prowess? I doubt it. Too many eco rules and eco warriors.
There were 1,251,473 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ’s built. Of that, only 6378 were Grand Wagoneers with fake wood trim. The 1993 Woodies with 3M-DI-NOC-Marine-Teak-Wood-Vinyl wood grain are as rare as hens teeth. Expect to see restored versions increasing in value. They represented only half a percent or 0.5% of ZJ production. The pinnacle of this ZJ range was the 5.9 V8 engine in 1998. See the T shirt.
Specifications of the Jeep Grand Wagoneer or ZJ. With a Military Grade Unibody, Quadratrac 4X4 system, a 5.2 Litre V8 Engine this 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee was loaded with high end SUV/AWD Features. Ready for Winter. This vehicle was timeless and now difficult to find in the UK. Where rugged meets road, comfortable leather seats, beautiful fake wood trim dashboard, cruise control, heated seats, A/C, original radio fitted with cassette tape player, 6 CD auto-changer. The full leather interior is so nice. This Jeep was sold new from 1993 to 1998 as the ZJ or ZG Jeep Grand Cherokee or Jeep Grand Wagoneer, perfect for Jeep enthusiasts to keep as hobby cars. Just a few photos I found online, hopefully no one will mind?
