A car or SUV trimmed with fake wood like the Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ woodie is the ultimate Americana statement of automotive style. If any other country did this it just wouldn’t be the same. The car manufacturers seem to have lost their bottle in recent decades, with mediocrity winning the race. Can they ever regain their mojo? I doubt it. Too many rules.
There were 1,251,473 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ’s built. Of that, only 6378 were Grand Wagoneers. The 1993 Woodies with 3M-DI-NOC-Marine-Teak-Wood-Vinyl wood grain are as rare as hens teeth. Expect to see Retromod versions popping up for sale soon. They represent only half a percent or 0.5% of the total production.
With a Military Grade Unibody, Quadratrac 4X4 system, a 5.2 Litre V8 Engine this 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee is loaded with high end SUV/AWD Features. Ready for Winter. This vehicle is timeless and very difficult to find in the UK, where rugged meets road. Comfy leather seats and beautiful wooden trim dashboard. Cruise control, heated seats, A/C and original radio fitted with cassette tape player and 6 CD auto-changer. Full leather interior – destined to be a future classic. This model was sold new from 1992 to 1998 as the ZJ or ZG Jeep Grand Cherokee and is the perfect example for a Jeep enthusiast to keep as a hobby car.
Just a few photos I found online, hopefully no one will mind?
